Highlights
The Barron River is perfect for anyone who has never tried White Water Rafting or those looking for an afternoon of fun and excitement. Your guide will take you on an eco-adventure through the Barron Gorge National Park aboard your 8 person inflatable raft, tackling grade 2 and 3 rapids including the infamous Rooster Tail where an action photo will be taken. Afterwards enjoy a rest stop with tea and coffee provided, and a chance to view and purchase photos of the day.

• Cairns pickups

• Drive up the Barron Gorge Valley Top Of the River 

• Gear-up with life jackets, helmets and paddles 

• Raft from just below Barron River Power Station down a series of grade 2 and 3 rapids 

• From the last rapid paddle a short distance to Lake Placid Relax 

• Arrive at our afternoon tea location for a coffee or tea, and to view photos of the day’s action. 

• Return to Cairns approx 6.00pm
